世界現役最大古帆船 俄羅斯「謝多夫」號訪港
One of the world’s biggest traditional sailing ships stops off in Hong Kong

「謝多夫」號原名「Magdalene Vinnen II」，由德國製造並於一九二一年首航，最初是一艘貨船。直至二次世界大戰後，該船轉為蘇聯擁有，並以在一九一四年逝世的北極探險家Georgy Sedov命名，成為「謝多夫」號(Sedov)。這艘長達一百一十七點米的四桅帆船在一九五二年至一九五七年間曾作為海軍訓練船，其後成為海洋研究船。

二零一二年，「謝多夫」號雖已九十一歲高齡，但仍「身壯力健」，為慶祝俄羅斯建國一千一百五十周年，在去年五月二十日於聖彼得堡啟航，展開遍訪二十個國家共三十二個港口之旅，而香港是其中一站。這艘被列入健力士世界紀錄的世界現役最大古帆船於二月二十一日駛進香港維多利亞港時已吸引維港兩岸市民的眼球。翌日，「謝多夫」號停泊在尖沙咀海運大廈碼頭，俄羅斯聯邦駐香港總領事館在該船上舉行「歡迎訪港招待會」，邀請了駐港外交官員出席及參觀。招待會結束後，該船隨即開放三天，接待香港市民及遊客免費參觀，讓觀眾可近距離欣賞「謝多夫」號的風采、設備以及與近二百名學員交流。船上並有「謝多夫」號紀念品及俄羅斯禮品出售，增加觀眾們對「謝多夫」號及俄羅斯多個方面的認識，促進了俄羅斯人民與香港市民的相互認識和瞭解。

One of the world’s biggest traditional sailing ships stops off in Hong Kong

One of the world’s biggest tallships, Russia’s sails into Hong Kong on 21st February. Originally named the Magdalene Vinnen II, was launched in Kiel in 1921. She is a 117.5 meter long, 4-masted steel Barque. She built as a cargo ship, the today is operated as a sail vessel, to train cadets from the nautical colleges of Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. The ship participates regularly in the large scale maritime international events, including . In 2011 celebrated its 90th anniversary. It set sail from St. Petersburg on 20th May, 2012 on a 14-month circumnavigation intended to wave the Russian flag on the 1,150th anniversary of Russia’s statehood. Hong Kong is one of the cities of its the world voyage.

Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Hong Kong had held the welcoming reception on board of the barque on 22nd February. After the reception, opened to the public for three days.
