Catherine DENEUVE, Film Legend and Star of On My Way, in Hong Kong to Meet Media and Audiences
One of the 38th Hong Kong International Film Festival’s (HKIFF) special guests, award-winning French actress Catherine DENEUVE, attended the press conference of her latest film On My Way at the Peninsula Hong Kong this evening. Chip TSAO was invited to be a moderator for the discussion. Catherine DENEUVE will also engage in a public discussion following the screening of her film, On My Way, on 30 March at The Grand Cinema (Elements Mall).
The ever-stunning Catherine DENEUVE has appeared in more than 100 films since gaining wide acclaim for her roles in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Repulsion. She won two César Awards for her performances in Le Dernier Métro and Indochine. This year, the HKIFF will present her latest film, On My Way. She hits the road in this picturesque and endearing dramedy as Bettie, an icy ex-beauty queen running a near-broke family bistro in small-town Brittany. When her married lover jilts her for another, younger woman, she drives off and begins a five-day odyssey. Through random encounters with a bizarre old man, a bearded boy toy, her wisecracking 11-year old grandson (Nemo SCHIFFMAN) and eventually his paternal grandfather, she gradually lets her guard down and reaches out.
