All things on this planet live on the light and heat that comes from the sun; hence the source of their existence.

Entering the 20th century, the Korean people who had worshipped the sun from ancient times, sang the praises of their blessings of having President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il as the Sun of their nation—the greatest fortune for the first time in their 5 000-year-long history. They are now blessed with having Marshal Kim Jong Un as the Sun of Songun Korea.

When the Korean people writhed in agony at the sudden demise of Kim Jong Il, father of their nation, he gave strength and courage to them, illumining the way ahead of the Korean nation.
Kim Jong Un delivered a speech at the military parade to celebrate the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung. Summing up the proud 100-year history of Kim Il Sung’s nation, he clarified that the country should go straight along the road of independence, the road of Songun, the road of socialism. In 2012 alone he made public over ten classic works, indicating the way to be followed by the country and the people.

Visiting different parts of the country, he specified the ways and means for making the people enjoy all the benefits of socialism. During his inspection of a unit of the Korean People’s Army, he gave an order that should the enemy throw even one spark on the country’s holy territory or territorial waters, its service personnel should not confine it to a local war but switch over to a sacred war for national reunification, and drew an arrow of attack on the operations map of the KPA.

With iron nerves and faith in sure victory that they have nothing to fear in the world as long as they are led by Kim Jong Un, the Korean people have turned out in the general onward march for building a thriving country.

Putting the interests and conveniences of the people above anything else and keeping open-hearted to them, he found himself among the people and service personnel all the year round and took warm care of them. Many people, ranging from kindergarteners to the delegates to the celebrations of the 66th anniversary of the Korean Children’s Union and of the Youth Day, the participants in the National Meeting of Mothers and the representatives of war veterans to the celebrations of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, still remember his ennobling personality. KPA service personnel who had photos taken with him hand in hand, arm in arm and shoulder to shoulder and shouted hurrah seeing him off in tears in the chest-deep sea water and other people who received cups of toast from him in their new houses in Changjon Street, cherish deep in their minds his warm affection.

Today an atmosphere of living up to his affection with loyalty prevails in the DPRK. Miracles and innovations are being wrought in all parts of the country day after day.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, the Korean people, full of confidence in sure victory, are now making vigorous efforts to hasten the day when they would enjoy all the benefits of socialism to their heart’s content.
