為慶祝伊斯蘭脫維善紀念中學四十五周年誌慶,該校於二零一六年四月二十二日在香港跑馬地山光道跑馬地會所二樓青雲閣舉行誌慶聚餐,當晚延開十八席,該校校董會成員、師生校友、香港伊斯蘭團體代表以及多位伊斯蘭國家駐香港的外交官出席,場面充滿熱鬧氣氛。

學校簡史
該校由中華回教博愛社於一九七零年創立,校舍座落於北角雲景道,為一所男女文法中學。一九八二年起,轉型為政府津貼中學:並於一九九七年獲教育局批准遷校至柴灣翠灣街新址,地方更充裕,設施更臻完善。為了紀念該校首任校監脫維善哈智創立該校及對校育的貢獻,新校由「伊斯蘭英文中學」改名為「伊斯蘭脫維善紀念中學」。

鑑於該校為全港唯一一所擁有伊斯蘭教育背景的中學,非華裔穆斯林適齡學童人數不斷上升,不少家長希望讓子女入讀該校,故自二零零四年起,該校開始錄取非華裔學童。現時學校,除本地師生外,還有來自十多個不同國家的師生,包括中國、巴基斯坦、印度、印尼、尼泊爾、菲律賓、美國、伊朗、約旦、非洲國家等。學校辦學模式改變為具國際視野的平民國際學校,務求讓學生在多元文化下學習,並學會互相尊重和欣賞不同的文化。

學校使命
本着伊斯蘭和平博愛的精神,致力培養學生樂於學習、擅於與人溝通、勇於承擔責任、敢於創新的特質,從而能健康地成長,成為既自愛,有主見,又能關懷他人及社會的青年。

學與教
該校鼓勵老師於科內及跨科進行共同備課及同儕觀課,從而增加老師間的專業交流,幫助老師改善教學技巧及提升教學效能。

為配合學生的不同興趣與能力,該校開設不同科目供學生選擇,並定期作出檢討,以配合學生升學就業的需要。

該校為非華裔學生編制校本中文課程,讓他們更有效能地學習中文,以備將來升學或就業之用。課程內容及深度不斷更新,以便提升學童在市場上的競爭力。下學期,該校亦與一非牟利團體合辦中文電腦輸入法課程,利用軟件通過學習中文輸入法提升非華裔學生學習中文的興趣與能力,參加學生都感到學習中文變得更容易及快捷。

除中文及英文課外,該校亦為學生提供普通話、烏都語、尼泊爾語及阿拉伯語作為副修語文科。

Brief on School History
The school was established by the Chinese Muslim Cultural and Fraternal Association in 1970 on a site located on Cloud View Road, North Point. In 1997, the school was relocated to a bigger campus on 22 Tsui Wan Street, Chai Wan, Moreover, in order to pay tribute to the first supervisor, Haji Kasim Tuet for his contribution towards the school and for education in general, the school was renamed as Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College (IKTMC)

Since IKTMC is the only Islamic secondary school in Hong Kong, an increasing number of Muslim Ethnic Minorities (EM) parents in Hong Kong wanted their children to pursure their studies in their school. Therefore, in 2004, they started admitting them in the school. Currently, they have students and teachers from more than 10 countries, including China, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, America, Iran, Jordan, Africa countries etc. Since then, the school has evolved into a multicultural hub where diversity is celebrated and mutual respect blossoms.

School Mission
The school is committed to nurture students’ capabilities for enjoying learning, confidence to communicate with others, willingness to accept responsibilities, courage to follow one’s creative mind. It is the aim of the school to provide a positive environment for students to grow spiritually, physically and intellectually so that they become mature, responsible and independent young individuals in future. It is hope that when they graduate, they will have learned to look beyond their own immediate concerns, and develop a healthy interest in other people and the surrounding environment. Most importantly, they will not be awed by the complexities of life, but feel confident in the pursuit of excellence and prepare to serve our society.

Teaching and Learning
Teachers from different subjects have carried out collaborative lesson planning and peer observation. Through this professional exchange among teachers, they aim at helping teachers to refine teaching skills and enhance teaching efficiency.

The school offers a wide range of subjects to cater for the varying interests and abilities of their students. The curriculum is under constant review so that students can meet the demands of an ever-changing society.

In order to cater for the needs of the Ethnic Minority students, the school has developed a tailor-made Chinese curriculum for them to learn the Chinese Language effectively. Recently, they have also been working together with an NGO to teach students through a Chinese Input system which makes Chinese learning more fun and interesting. In addition to the Chinese and English Languages, the school also provides Arabic, Urdu, Putonghua and Nepali languages for S1 to S3 students as elective subjects.
