香港投資推廣署和廣州市政府向新西蘭企業宣傳兩地的營商優勢

  香港投資推廣署和廣州市人民政府於十一月十八日首次在新西蘭奧克蘭攜手舉辦了一個研討會,推廣香港和廣州的營商優勢,以協助新西蘭企業在香港及內地拓展業務。

  是次研討會以「香港與廣州:助您打入中國市場的合作夥伴」為題,分別由香港駐悉尼經濟貿易辦事處處長柏嘉禮及新西蘭外貿部北亞組總監Grahame Morton致開幕和歡迎辭,並由廣州市對外貿易經濟合作局局長肖振宇博士及投資推廣署助理署長戴威士介紹兩地的綜合投資環境。

  戴威士向超過一百七十位新西蘭商界的高層人士致辭時,重點介紹了香港的固有營商優勢,以促使香港成為一個理想的商業策略平台,有利於海外企業透過香港業務開拓內地及國際的無限商機。他說︰「香港擁有健全的法制及獨立的司法制度,其低稅率、資訊和資金自由流通及兼備國際和內地視野的人才均享譽國際,是新西蘭企業進入內地及其他亞洲市場的理想平台。」

  肖振宇致辭時表示,今天的廣州已不再是一個依靠勞動力成本以取得競爭優勢的城市,而是一個在市場腹地、輻射影響力、高端人力資源、營商環境和文化氛圍等方面具有綜合優勢的投資熱土,在製造業、電子信息技術、系能源、乳製品方面商機無限。他強調,廣州的目標是打造國際重要的商貿中心和世界著名的文化名城,在這過程中,新西蘭企業將會和其他企業一樣發掘出商機。

  研討會的其他講者包括 Mainfreight Air and Ocean New Zealand總經理Ben Fitts、國富浩華(新西蘭)有限公司董事總經理Andrew Sayers及香港新西蘭商會主席陳林思敏。

Invest Hong Kong and Guangzhou Government promote mutual business advantages for New Zealand companies

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) and the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government co-organised for the first time a seminar in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 18 to jointly promote their combined business advantages and how these can benefit New Zealand companies in their expansion into Hong Kong and Mainland China.

The seminar, entitled "Hong Kong and Guangzhou: Your Business Partners in China", began with opening remarks by the Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney, Mr Steve Barclay, and welcoming remarks by the Director of the North Asia Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, Mr Grahame Morton. It was followed by keynote addresses delivered by the Director General of the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou Municipality, Dr Xiao Zhenyu; and the Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Andrew Davis.

In his address to more than 170 senior business executives at the event, Mr Davis highlighted the enduring advantages that make Hong Kong a strategic platform from which to access unlimited business opportunities in the Mainland and internationally. He said, "Hong Kong has its own rule of law and independent judiciary. It is also known for its low tax regime, free flow of capital and information, plus a deep pool of talent with international and Mainland perspectives. It is the ideal platform from which New Zealand companies can gain access to the Mainland and other Asian markets."

Dr Xiao said that Guangzhou is no longer a city that relies simply on low labour costs for competitiveness but has become a favourable investment destination with comprehensive advantages in its central location, market catchment, high-end workforce, business-friendly environment and cultural dynamism. The city provides opportunities in manufacturing, electronics and information technology, energy and resource engineering and dairy products. He emphasised that the municipal government aims to make Guangzhou an international trade centre and a world-acclaimed cultural city, which will offer New Zealand and other foreign companies plenty of business opportunities.

Other speakers at the seminar included the General Manager of Mainfreight Air and Ocean New Zealand, Mr Ben Fitts; the Managing Principal of Crowe Horwath (NZ) Limited, Mr Andrew Sayers; and the President of the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association, Ms Stella Chan.
